Our coverage includes protection against third-party claims arising from a failure to protect personally identifiable information (PII) or institutional data due to a network security failure or privacy breach on our platform.

The policy provides dedicated capital for cyber extortion threats, including ransomware response, forensic investigation, and deployment of specialized cybersecurity crisis management firms to resolve the threat rapidly.

In the event of a prolonged, catastrophic platform outage caused by a cyber attack, the insurance covers forensic IT review and data restoration costs, ensuring that LUCY OS has the immediate liquidity to rebuild and restore school accounts without delay.

Where legally insurable, our policy covers defense costs and fines levied by regulatory bodies (such as Information Regulators under POPIA or GDPR authorities) resulting directly from a data breach originating within our infrastructure.

We maintain coverage limits commensurate with our aggregated data risk across all active schools. A redacted Certificate of Insurance (COI) detailing current coverage limits and the underwriting carrier is available to the Institution's legal or procurement team upon formal written request to our security officer.
